Biography: Marilyn Dashiell Chowning, age 72, of Little Rock, died Wednesday March 7, 2012. She was born in Conway, Arkansas on March 23, 1939. Marilyn was married to Robert Chowning in 1977 raising two step children Marks and Martha. She was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, a member of the Country Club of Little Rock, Arkansas Arts Center, and enjoyed being with family and friends on the lake at Ludington, Michigan where they had a home. She was active in community affairs in both Little Rock and Ludington. Marilyn loved gardening, shopping for antiques and dogs, especially her Labrador Retriever Pal. Marilyn is survived by one step-son; Marks Chowning and wife Diane of Los Vegas, Nevada, one step-daughter Martha Chowning and husband Jonathan of Los Angeles, California, one nephew Davin Webb and wife Missy of Little Rock, and 4 grandchildren; Delaney and Reagan Armstrong, and Maddie and Edwin Groff. The family would like to thank the care givers, Dr. C.D. Williams and staff at Arkansas Heart Hospital. There will be a funeral service Monday, March 12, at 2:00 pm at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church followed by burial at Rest Hills Cemetery, North Little Rock. Memorials in lieu of flowers should be made to Arkansas Heart Hospital, 1701 South Shackleford Rd, Little Rock, AR 72211. I miss my dear friend already but I am so thankful that she is once again with her Robert and Pal Boy. Thank you for the life lessons you taught me and for being such a wonderful friend to so many "fur babies".
