Michael and Anne Carolyn -- Lee sent me the news of your mother's home-going.... I cannot be sad, but glad for such a wonderful lady to be in His presence! Lee and I discussed some of our memories of you and your parents back in the McGehee days.

Grateful to Him, we stand! Anne

I will always remember Mrs. Clayton, just the way she was described by Michael and Anna Carolyn in the Democrat-Gazzette. Being in her presence was like being bathed in happiness, joy, love and laughter!!

Mike, I read this with some sense of celebration. Imagine living so well in the light of the church! She surely must always have rejoiced in the life she led with your father and in the pride she took in you. I wish you well.

To the Clayton Family

Jo and I were saddened to learn of Lois' passing. She was a true Southern Lady. She was a delight to know and was always ready with her bright smile and compassion.

We first met her at Saint James. Your mother was always there for us.

She would always ask about our parents.

We will remember her always.

With all our love and respect.

Anna Carolyn and Bob: I know your feelings right now. Your mother is in a far better place now and your feelings of sorrow will fade away. The things you should remember are the fun times you had with her. May God Bless you and be with you.

We send our sincere sympathy. She was a special lady and although we lived in St. Louis most of the time she and Rev. Clayton served FUMC, Benton,my mother, Laura, could never say enough nice things about her. Of course your Dad married us and memories are many and sweet.

Carol and I knew the Claytons quite well during their ministry at St.James Methodist Church in Little Rock. Dr. Clayton's sermons were some of the best ever. They were a charming couple we have always missed. Deepest sympathy to the Clayton families.
