Linda, I was saddened to hear of your mother's passing. She was a fantastic lady with a lot of wit and wisdom. I'll miss her. Richard passed on January 21st. I'm sure they'll have a bit of a reunion and talk about the Razorback call on the London underground! lol Blessings to you and your family through this time.

Linda, Mary, and family:

Your mother was my Sunday School teacher for many years at Mt. Pleasant. She helped me in the formation of my faith, and I will ever be grateful for her devotion to me and all the children she taught. Please accept my deepest sympathies, and may God comfort you as you remember her kindnesses to all who met her.

Mary . . . I was saddened to learn of your mother?s death from Ida Cook. Only those who have lost a beloved mother can speak to the unfathomable pain of the loss, but be heartened in knowing that what our mothers now want most for us is to proceed down our given paths, continuing ? by their example ? to positively influence the lives of those we cherish. Although I didn?t know your mother, I feel sure she is extremely proud of the legacy she has left in her children and grandchildren . . . be comforted in knowing the well-deserved peace she now enjoys, as well as the inevitable reunion of which we are assured!

Janet - I have heard it said that the only way to take sorrow out of death is to take love out of life and that it is the fire that warms our lives with unparalleled joy and divine hope. From what I have heard you say of your mother, I believe you and she shared a great deal of love in your life. I hope that love and the memories you and your mother made together will eventually be a cozy place you can visit to feel close to her and be warmed and comforted when the longing for her is too much. I add my prayers for your family to others who have posted here.

Bill and I were very sorry to hear about Juanita. We wish to express our sympathy to all of her family. We knew John and Juanita many years ago when he worked at the kerb market in NLR.He would bring peaches and vegetables home (on colonel glenn rd.) and we would buy them. Juanita was in evening Bible study with Bill and I at Mablevale Methodist Church, and she and Bill taught a Youth Sunday School class.I was able for awhile to keep up with her through her grandchildren at the produce stand at the county line. We will keep you in our prayers

We remember your mother and all of you from Mt. Pleasant. She was a free thinker and a great Sunday School Teacher. She taught you how to think openly. I cherished her as a friend. I know you will all miss such a strong mother as I do mine.
Bless you all.

I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet this precious lady. She certainly has left behind a Godly heritage in those members of her family that we have known. I know she will be missed by all who knew her although her love and faith will continue on in and through her family.
