Biography: William Edward McAtee, 81, of Little Rock, died August 30, 2006. He was born in Gurdon on October 5, 1924 to the late J. A. and Minnie (Short) McAtee. He was a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church and a longtime member and employee of the Air National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Pamela Bohannan; a brother, A. B. McAtee; and a sister, Jenell Cox. Survivors include his wife, Vivianna Beauchamp McAtee; sons, Mitchell McAtee of El Paso, Ark., and Brett McAtee and wife Janelle of Little Rock; and four grandchildren, Chet Gordon, Leslie Maldonado, Misty Jackson, and Sheryl Kendall. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church officiated by the Revs. Jim and Debbie Freeman. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Westover Hills Presbyterian Church, 6400 Richard B. Hardie Dr., Little Rock, 72207. Mrs. McAtee and family we are very sorry for your loss. Bill was a pleasure to work for in the 189 Air Guard and at JRTC. I will never forget the good times. May GOD Bless You and Your Family at this time of need. Sincerly Gerald & Brenda Woods
