Phillip was a good friend throughout high school. Although I moved to Colorado a few years later, I have never forgotten his big heart and wonderful spirit. It saddens me for everyone's loss. Thinking of Phillip brings back many good memories, esp. football games and rides to Joe T. Robinson High School in his big red Pontiac.

I will always miss my Uncle Phillip! He was my favorite and one of a kind. They broke the mold when they made him. He always had a smile, hug, and a kind word to say to you when you saw him. You always knew you were loved when you talked to him. RIP Uncle Phillip, love u and give Granny and Grandpa a hug and kiss for me!

My papa was one of the greatest men I ever knew. Hes been there for me my entire life & I hate that we all had to lose him. He will always be in my heart, & ill never forget the yummy cheese toast he used to make me & sister... Or when he bought us our first big wheels & we'd ride to nork city, that hot place, & fatville. He was a hero, & he will be greatly missed by us all.

It has been more than forty years since Phillip played football at Robinson High School but I remember him well. Not only was Phillip a good football player but an outstanding young man and one of the leaders of our football team. I know he will be missed greatly by his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

TO MY FAVORITE AUNTS AND UNCLES, AND MY SWEET PARENTS, AND HIS CHERISHED DAUGHTERS AND GRANDCHILDREN, MY THOUGHTS HAVE BEEN ON ALL OF YOU THIS WEEK. ALL OF US WHO SAW PHILLIP ON CHRISTMAS EVE KNEW HE WAS NOT WELL, BUT HAD NO IDEA THAT WE WOULDN'T HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE HIM LOOKING AND DOING BETTER. HE WAS TOO YOUNG TO GO BEFORE US, BUT HE DID IT HIS WAY...AND WE ARE LEFT WITH OUR GREAT MEMORIES OF THE STRONG IMPRESSION HE MADE ON ALL OF OUR LIVES.

Wow! Cannot believe it! Phillip and I go back to pre-grade school days at Markham Methodist Sunday School and Church. We also rode the school bus together to Baker and Robinson. He was a big guy, but he did indeed have a kind spirit and a big heart and was always a good friend. I send my thoughts and prayers to the family. I know you will miss him! So sorry!
