For Nina's Family,
We were so glad to receive Nina & Chris' call that day back in the early 1990's & finding family we never knew we had. We enjoyed so much our several visits to Little Rock with Nina & Chris. It was wonderful to hear about our grandparents, Charles & Caroline from those who knew them. They took us on a tour of the home where they had lived and to the cemetery in Sweet Home. We all went to the Court House, to search for Charles & Caroline's marriage record. Once, we even went to the races with Nina & Chris.
We're so sorry for your loss & ours too. Nina and Chris were such lovely ladies. You continue to be in our thoughts & prayers.

Dear Family,
I had tried to inquire about Nina on Monday, Jan.2. I called her cell phone but was unable to leave a message and then called South Haven but they were not able to give me any information. I was so shocked to learn she had passed away two days earlier!
Nina and my Mother, Cora Appling, were good friends and played the horses together everyday at Oaklawn. It was funny watching them trying to figure out the winner for each race. They had such a good time!
It had been a while since I last talked with Nina, but, I could tell her health was failing when we talked. She was always such a fun-loving person and loved living life each day. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Carolyn and Jim Manning
