Biography: Betty Paulsen Karnes, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011, at the age of 89 in Little Rock, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Inez Pearl Paulsen and her sister Mary Lou Hickey. She is survived by her husband, Clyde E. Karnes; daughters, Sharon A. Kell and Connie Beth Megee; her sons, Michael Clyde Karnes and Chris Andrew Karnes; grandchildren, Tony Kell, Karen Snow, Chad Karnes, Matt Karnes, Kristen Karnes, Jill Johnson, Phillip Megee, McKenzie Karnes, and Allie Karnes; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a Golden Age Master in playing bridge. She was a member of Pulaski Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Hyde officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow the funeral service at Pinecrest Memorial Park. It was such a shock to hear about the death of such a dear friend. Betty and I have known each other for many years and two of our children are the same age. My sympathy is extended to the family. Even though I have not seen Betty as much in later years, I still feel a closeness to her.

Our sincere sympathy to all of Betty's family. She was always such a pleasure to spend time with & we have fond memories of her. Having known her for over 50 years, she was like a member of our entire family.
