We lost a fine and good man, obviously loved and admired by many. Norman and I went thru most, if not all of our public schooling together and I always enjoyed his friendship and many special talents. My Prayers and condolences to his family, and especially brother David as I can only imagine having to bury a close little brother. May the Spirit of the Season be with you in your time of need.

I, too, was a member of the "Marching 100" Stuttgart Band and a classmate of Norman's. We all shared a lot of good memories. From all the comments he was a very professional and caring person. I was very sad to hear of his passoing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Norman was a truly great guy! I know you are finding comfort in these condolences. I was able to meet him last year on campus after almost 20 years of him helping me via telephone calls. I'm sure there were times he just wanted to throw up his hands while he was talking with me but he didn't (or his voice never indicated he had!). I know he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his UAMS family. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Norman is one of a kind. Even though Norman was not over payroll when I came to UAMS 8 years ago...I could not have made it without him. He was eager and willing to help me learn the ropes. It didn't take me long to figure out - he and I would get along just fine (most of the time). I love how he can be sarcastic and still have the respect of others around him. Norman was a true friend, I already miss him. Don't know what I'll do with all those 'extra' cucumbers this summer that he enjoyed so much. My prayers go out to the entire family. His UAMS family will miss him greatly. Norman, we will meet again my friend.

It has been many years since we were all together at Holy Souls School helping our children become the wonderful people they are today. Fond memories.
Just wanted to tell you that when Steve read of Norman's passing he commented that Norman was the nicest guy he met at Indian Princesses! We are both saddened for your family's loss of such a sweet husband and father.

Norman and I had many classes together at Stuttgart High; however what I always remember is Band. When we had football games away, he managed to get a group to play penny poker on my saxophone case. Norman was such a good guy...someone I could count on and talk with. I'm so glad I got to see him at our reunions that didn't conflict with University of Arkansas games. I was looking forward to seeing him at our 50th reunion in 2013. I was blessed to know Norman; and am happy he has such a fine family life. God bless you.

Donna and family,

We are so sorry not to be there during this trying time. We can?t think of another life more worthy of celebrating than Norman?s. He taught me (Bill) so much about enjoying each moment of life. Going anywhere with him was like a party. He rarely went anywhere (particularly Wendy?s) without meeting someone he has known, or meeting someone new.

He was the easiest person to be with that I have ever known. Our lunch conversations were always enjoyable and enlightening and very rarely on work. His was a special life and we already miss him.

Our love and prayers are with you all.

Love, Bill and Renee

I worked with Norman at St. Vincent and to my delight when I came to UAMS in May he was one of the first people I encountered. It was like a reunion! I always found Norman to be so helpful and kind. He was one of those rare people who possessed both technical expertise and common sense and could bring both to bear on whatever problem I brought to him. I will certainly miss him and will keep your family in my prayers. May the love of friends and the power of your faith give you comfort in your loss.

It's hard to know what to say in times like these. You'll miss your husband and father terribly, as will we at UAMS. So many people have come into my office to share "Norman stories." He was most definitely our class clown.

May you be comforted in the love of your family and friends, and the peace of God. Lux Eterna.

He was full of humor and made working with him a pleasure.
He will be missed by so many UAMS employees but especially those that worked directly with him
