I met J.L. about forty years ago, when my brother, Jack Mize introduced me to him. He was my lawyer when I divorced, he represented my son, and so on. When you had J.L. in your court you were fearless. He was a take charge man. I am glad I was fortunate enough to know him for many years. I have prayer for comfort for your family. You can be very proud of your Dad.
God Bless You,

Judd,
What a wonderful, long life your dad enjoyed. And his accomplishments seem endless. I'm glad you had him as long as you did. But I know it's never easy to let someone you love go. You're in my thoughts and I wish you and Jean Ann wonderful memories and easier days ahead.
Sincerely, Draxie Rogers

My deepest sympathies to all of the family in the loss of this incredible man. He always had a way of making me smile and usually laugh outloud. No other attorney I know of has impacted my life as much as J. L. did. He was a kind, generous, and loving man and one of the finest attorneys in the State. He always had the time to listen and his advice and his friendship were treasured by all of us who had the pleasure to work with him. He was truly a gentleman and a scholar and we will miss him terribly.

Mr. Kidd appeared before me for hundereds of clients. Never once did he sell the client short, and at the same time was both respectful and friendly. A good lawyer and a nice man.

J.L. was a wonder man. We have pictures at our house eating lobster and later watermelon on the deck. He was always a gentleman. We enjoyed his company and was honored to see him in the office. May the lord wrap you in his love and hold you there during this most difficult time.
Heaven is blessed today.
May God be with you and bless you all.

Jud, Jimmy & John:

My deepest sympathies to you and yours for the loss of Mr. J.L.

When I think of the thousands of lives he touched from all walks of life, I know he will be truly missed.

As one of his partners said to me today, "It's the end of an era" which pretty well sums it up. The era of the "Gentlemen Lawyer" whose word is his bond, his clients always come first and whatever walk of life they came from, they were treated with respect and dignity, and their fellow lawyers were their adversaries only in the Courtroom.

God Bless You All
Melanie Miller
