Biography: Mary Frances Bonner Fields, 97, of Little Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2011. She was born February 26, 1914 in Guymon, OK to the late Stephen and Nellie Bonner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leon Fields, two sons, Leon B. and Michael Fields. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Since 1935 when Mr. Fields took a job with the Arkansas Democrat to be circulation manager, Little Rock has been home. Mrs. Fields love for antiques, flowers, real estate, and her church were demonstrated throughout her life. In 1943, they opened Fields Florist and Gifts which later became Friday?s Florist. After they sold the flower shop, Mrs. Fields opened Fields Antiques in 1963 which she owned for twenty years. She was also instrumental in helping her husband in much of the real estate development in the Heights area. Mrs. Fields loved her church, Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. She is survived by a daughter, Libby Bunch and husband, Lewis; two grand daughters, Wendy Thomas and husband, Brian and Lana Williams; a sister, Helen Riffe of Claremore, OK; a brother, Stephen Bonner of Guymon, OK and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express gratitude to her wonderful caregivers, Rose Brand and Vernon White and the staff at Baptist Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights Baptist Church or Baptist Hospice. A visitation will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Frances sat behind me in church for such along time. I will greatly miss her.

Aunt Francis gave my oldest son his first chicken bone when he was fifteen months old. He is now 41 years old and loves chicken. She will always be remembered in our house.
