Biography: Virginia McCarthy, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011. She was the daughter of Andrew and Mary Clow Smith and was born June 11, 1926 in Little Rock. Formerly of Schaumburg, IL and Hot Springs Village, she resided at Sandalwood Healthcare. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Joseph McCarthy. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Little Rock and Balboa Road Baptist Church of Hot Springs Village. She retired from Quaker Oats/Pepsi Co. Survivors are sisters, Ruth C. Locklear of Little Rock, Dorothy Kadeg of Scottsdale, AZ and 8 nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at Little Rock National Cemetery on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Jonathan Kelley.
