My thoughts are with you Barbara, Kay and Gay. Our group of Dock Boys have some great memories of working for Ernie, and Barbara at Medlin Marine. He was a good man, and clearly the coolest guy on the Lake.

For over thirty years, you were as good of a friend as a man could ever have. I will miss you, but look forward to taking that ride on the "Molly" that we talked about so often.

Barbara, Kay and Gay,

I am so sorry to hear about Ernie, what a great guy. Everytime Rita and I ride by your house in Indian Bayou, I think about y'all and all the good times we had in Destin, on the Hidden Dunes, etc. What a big heart Ernie had and I do not think he ever met a stranger. Destin has never been the same place after y'all left. When ever he would call, we always laughed about whether Ray or I were working and always had a good laugh. May God Bless you during this time of loss and our prayers go out to you and your families.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you Barbara,Kay and Gay.
One of my favorite teenage memories was when I had a Summer job working for Ernie and Barbara at Medlin Marine. We had a great time and he even paid us. Ernie was always great to us kids and taught us some about business without even knowing it.
He will be greatly missed.

Barbara, Tommy Harkins called and told me about Earnies death. I thought of him often and the great times I had fishing on the Ark 2-3-and 4. I'll always remember his Arkansas tea. The first time we came down was with Bert and Katerine Hart and Earnie was so happy to have someone that jumped in and cleaned the fish box and helped him finish getting the boat ready for the next day. He always said my wake looked like a snake but let me drive the boat on the way out anyway. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Don and Joyce Wells

To know him was to love him, that is how we felt about Ernie. In just a short time we made lifelong friends with the Medlin Family & was totally shock to hear the news of Ernie.

Mrs. Barbara and Gay, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers now and in the days to come. If there is anything we can do for you please call. May God walk closer & embrace you during this difficult & sad time. We are so sorry!
You have our deepest sympathy,

Ernie is one of the nicest and most honest men I have ever known. He has been my father in law for almost 20 years and has always been there for me. Every time I asked him for help or advice he was always there and never turned me down. He will be greatly missed by me and many others. I thank God for putting him in my life.

Our prayers and special thoughts are with y?all as you go through this sad time. There are very few words to say at a time of death. Just know that you have friends and family praying and thinking of you now, and from days to come. No gift, no card, no words can really comfort, but if you will cling to God first then all of the special memories will help you to make it through. May God bless you and ease your pain
Sending all of our love.
