Just wanted to add my condolences. Dolores was special to me during high school, always someone to confide in, always someone who cared about who you really were. She was never judgmental. I will never forget her taking me with the family on an excursion to Padre Island. I can always remember the year because we watched Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon on a crusty old TV set in a Corpus Christi hotel room. I will always remember Dolores with love and affection.

Dolores was an angel who will be very missed by all who knew her. She saved me many times as a teenager and was a mother to so many of us who were friends with Rick and who hung out at her house back in the late 60's & early 70's. It was an honor to know such a wonderful woman.

All the family members are in my thoughts and prayers, especially Rick & Donna, my dear friends! I wish there were adequate words to help ease the pain you are feeling. What I do know is that memories will help ease the pain & time will also help heal the pain.

God Bless,
Pam Bronson Gordon

I worked with Delores at the Dept of Arkansas Heritage for many years. She always had words of encouragement or told us something silly to laugh at. I will remember her fondly and offer my prayers for your family.

Dolores was the only Grandmother I've ever known, the only Grandparent I've ever known. I may not be Stebbins by blood, but someone thought I was at least worthy of the name; Dolores always gave me as much love and praise as she did her other Grandchildren. She never let me feel left out in any way. I remember a time when the same was true for all my relatives in Little Rock. Now I'm wondering if the love I was shown as a child was fraudulent. I suppose I could be to blame, I took a wrong path and let down those that cared for me. Some lost faith in me, although My Grandmother always encouraged me to get my education, and even helped me pay for my GED test. Now I'm persuing my dreams, and headed in the right direction. I'm so glad that I was finally able to hear her tell me that she was proud of me! My name is Melissa Rose Stebbins, and Dolores Stebbins will always be my Grandmother.
