Christina was too good for this world. When I look to the heavens, I think....Perhaps they are not the stars,
But rather openings in heaven where
The love of our lost ones pours through
And shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. I look forward to seeing you again Christina.

Oh dear Irene, I'm so sorry for what life is putting you through. I was in the hospital when you called with the news, but of course no one would dare tell me until know that I'm home. I've sat in the shop and just sobbed looking at everything she created over the many years of working with us. God this is her shop, everything in it was created and touched by her. The filing cabinets she drug in from God only knows were, are still filled with her artwork and clippings. Dozens of backdrops and props, everything reminding me of her.She was, and will always be the most creative, unique, sensitive, funny, witty and loving creature of God. I am blessed that she crossed my path over the years and enriched my life. Please call me when you have a moment. I'm so sorry I wasn't here for you or her. I need to know were I can go and see her. I take mom shopping on Main St. and without fail run into her sun shining face every time. She always had an intense issue or tragedy/drama story to share with me ! She was always ready to fix all the world's problems, save all the abused and abandoned creatures ... like the super hero she was, or strived to be. She will never, ever be forgotten and will live in my heart forever until we meet again. Praying for you and your loved ones Irene, extra prayers.

Christina,
This is the first time I could look at this without sobbing. I've been flooded with memories over the past week: Riding around in my beat-up Datsun with you and Dana, blaring Zappa tapes; My delight at discovering that you were my new neighbor on Dennison St.; the first time that I ever saw you, at Camp Tanako.; or the last time at the Fear show at Vino's, when we spotted each other, and joyfully pogoed together. Your passing was overwhelmingly stunning, the outpouring of grief, not so much. There is not enough of anything, anywhere to fill the new hole in this world. I only hope that you knew how much I admired you. I certainly did.

Irene, I am forever grateful to you for raising such a wonderful, unique person. I know I said it before, but it bears saying again...She wasn't just the Best Woman at my wedding, she was the Best Woman of my heart.

She was the sister of my soul, and I will hold her memory dear in my heart until the day I get to reunite with her in spirit.

Remember when you were my muse, you know that story I was working on that took place in Helena? Remember when I was being slammed by wicked people who just wanted to see me fall & you were a friend? Remember when I asked you about your troubled past and you cried? Remember the last time we saw each other and we had a good talk and a laugh, and how I was supposed to drop by your house? Just a few moments in time in our long friendship. My world seems less fun and bright without you around - 'cause you could always be counted on for a hug, and a bright smile. Thanks Christina for being a friend.... Now, go be funny and paint me something will ya?

Ms. Irene,

Your daughter was a beautiful, kind, and talented soul who I was proud to call my friend. She was always kind to me, and she was definitely the best road trip partner anyone could ever ask for. She will be sorely missed by all of her friends, but her memory will stay with us always. Our prayers are with you and your family.

While I haven't seen Christina in more than 20 years, I've never forgotten her -- her enigmatic, yet magnetic and creative -- personality left an impression on me from the time we met in 1986. I'm deeply saddened by her untimely passing, as clearly she had so much artistic brilliance and love to share. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, and I hope that they may eventually find some comfort in knowing what a far-reaching and long-lasting impact Christina had on so many people. I am so sorry for your loss.

We didn't get to spend much time together, since I've moved back. But, the time we did spend I cherish and deeply regret not being a closer friend, like we were when we were kids. You've always left a lasting impression we me. I'll always have a part of your imagination with me on my leg; that half face you drew on your bedroom wall at your mom's house is tattooed there forever. :) We have a lot memories together, old ones, but good ones. You were part of my life that formed the very core of who I am today. You will never be forgotten, Christina...never.
