To all the family, you have my deepest sympathy. Chief Justice Adkisson was C.J. when I first started working for the court in 1981 in the Reporter's Office. He was a fine man and always kind to me.
I would have been at the service today to pay my respects, but I read yesterday's paper after today's service was over.

All of us in Richard's Sunday School class were blessed by his insight and intelligence during bible study. After sitting quitely, he would pose questions resulting in discussions that did much to clarify the intent of scripture. We were blessed by his sharing of his judicial talents.
