Rita, Rita Beth, Ronda and family,
When mom and dad told me of Vail's passing, over and over I kept hearing them say what a wonderful man Vail was. He was truly one of a kind. Never did I see him without a smile on his face or an encouraging word to offer. No matter how long it had been since we had seen him, he always remembered to ask about my children by name and Russell if he wasn't with me. Vail has set an example for all of us to follow. Love and prayers from our family to yours during this difficult time.

Rita and family-

Vail had to be one of the kindness, gentlest natured men I have ever known. He was always a good friend, just a great guy to be around. His wit and humor was the expected ray of sunshine, it never failed. I miss his smile and warm voice but expect to see him again some day. May God bless you and keep you; I pray for your comfort and peace.

I remember Vail when we were teenagers at Mabelvale Methodist Church and when he was at the pharmacy where I shopped in the mid-sixties.
I haven't seen him for many years, but he was always so kind and friendly. May God bless and comfort each of you at this difficult time.

Rita,
I am so sorry to hear of Vail's passing. Vail was a great teacher to many young pharmacist's (like myself). He is one of those special people that always had a positive impact on the people around him. He will be missed. The world was fortunate to have him for the short time he was here. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Vail was such a generous and giving man and I learned a lot from him. We worked together in nuclear pharmacy and I enjoyed his humor, spirit and enthusiasm to learn new things and expand his knowledge. He was always thinking! I will keep Rita and family in thoughts and prayers and remember Vail as a true gentleman.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mrs.Paschal and the family at this time. We so enjoyed having The Paschals as neighbors here in Har-Ber Meadows. Tracy enjoyed trading tips with Vail when we were both building our houses. We hated to see them move but are so glad that he was able to spend his last few months closer to his children

God Bless,

Dear Paschal Family,

I was saddened to hear of Vail's illness and death. He was a true gentleman that loved his family and his profession. I first met Vail when he interviewed and hired me to work part-time for Osco Drug. I enjoyed working with him and seeing how good he was with his customers/patients. I went to work in the nuclear pharmacy and turned around and was able to hire Vail to work with him again. I admired his adventuresome nature to start a new career path in pharmacy and his willingness to fill-in as needed in the other pharmacies in New Orleans and Dallas. He was an astute businessman and built a successful nuclear pharmacy from the ground up in Springdale. He was a great guy that has touched many people throughout his life..including me. He will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Much love, Nicki

I will miss my Dear Friend of over 60 years. His smile and understanding while listening to our problems was unsurpassed. I rest assured I will see my friend again as we gather before the Master's Table to serve him. I pray our Lord will Give Miss Rita the strength to endure and continue with his Grace of Love. I wonder why I didn't not tell him these things while I had the chance ?

Rita, I am so saddened by the news of Vail's passing. During our last visit in September, he told me the food was good in Heaven and he would save me a place at the table. I started Lee Elementary School with Vail in 1940 and we had many good times at his parents home on Sibley Hole Road. Many fond memories that I will cherish till I join him. God Bless you in your time of sorrow.

Rita,

Since becoming close drumming compadres with Vail back in our young days in LRSHS, his friendship has been very special to me. Even then, Vail was obviously the right kind of quality person to form a friendship with! Our reunion in later adult years, learning that you two were lifetime partners and that we'd each been blessed with happy marriages, children and careers, has been truly gratifying. Ruby and I appreciate you and Vail as quality Christian friends. We pray that you and your family will be comforted by our God's special watchcare until we are united with Vail in life eternal.

With our love,
Ed and Ruby

So sad to hear about Vail. He was such a kind man that will be greatly missed in the Hefley family. I just want to let Rita Beth and Rhonda know I lost my dad in November. I miss him greatly, but there is such a peace when I think about him. We have lost two great men, but God had a plan and needed them. Just remenber the great man your dad was and be comforted by his love for your family. Rita, my prayers are with you and all your family. May God give you peace and comfort. Vail was the best and we all loved him.

Rita, Rita Beth and Ronda,
We are so sorry to hear about Vail. He was a remarkable man who loved his family dearly and what an honor it must be to have had him as a husband and father. What a role model. He was very kind to Jackey in getting him a job at Syncor and also in writing a letter of recommendation for Joshua which helped him get into pharmacy school. Rita Beth and Ronda, you both have a part of your dad with you at all times and I am sure see parts of him reflected in your own children. Our prayers are with you.

Rita, my heart is so sadden for you and your family. Vail was always so kind to me when we would come to Arkansas in the summers. I remember you guys taking me to Eureka Springs and letting me take part in everything with Rita Beth and Rhonda. It is so hard to give up a loved one in death, but I know Vail is in a better place with our wonderful Heavenly Father. I want you to know that all of us are keeping you and the family in our thoughts and prayers and praying that God gives all of you strength during this sad time. Love you all.
