Biography: Jeanette Fawcett Horton, age 59, of Little Rock, died on April 25th, 2011 after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. She was born on August 18th, 1951 in Ashdown, Arkansas to the late Orhea Johnson and Joe Ed Fawcett. After graduating from Ashdown High School, she received her undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University and later her Master?s Degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Jeanette spent her career as a counselor with the Arkansas School for the Blind. She loved doing anything outdoors, camping, hiking, exercising, and she enjoyed her pets. Jeanette was a member of the Highland Valley United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Ken Horton, her son, Nichalaus Todd Horton of Miami, her daughter, Sloan Fawcett Horton of Little Rock, her sister, Julie Fawcett and husband Howie Knoff, her niece, Janna Harris and nephew, Justin Harris, as well as a host of other nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday at Highland Valley United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow immediately in the Sanctuary at 4:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Kirkpatrick officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the UAMS Department of Neurology, 4301 West Markham St, #716, Little Rock, AR 72205.
