Ken, Sloan, and Nic,
As you know, your Mom and I were best friends since 1973 when we were in college. We remained best friends until her death. The wonderful times we had could fill several books. If fact, Libby, Nett and I had a saying, "That should be in our Book of Shoulds." We rarely missed sharing our birthdays together, as well as holidays and special events. I was with Nett when she was diagnosed with PSP. We only had a "clue" what horrible emotional and physical torture that she was beginning. Because of Nett, I became a participant in the study of PSP at the Univ of Louisville. Too late to help our angel, but hopefully someone will benefit from that study in which Nett was a patient/member. I know all of perfect Nett's likes and dislikes. When I hear her song, dance our dance with Libby, hike, or encounter some "new" adventure, Nett will be with me in spirit. I am so grateful for the many trips that we made after her diagnosis and before she became housebound. One was taped (VHS). Yes it is not digital!!! Best memory of Nett,"she never complained or said a negative word about anyone." AND, she named her daughter for me.SLOAN HORTON

I too was sadden to hear of Jeanette's passing. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. Ashdown is such a small and wonderful place to grow up because everyone knew each other. My wife Sharon (Turner) Honnell and I both express our sympathies and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. God has chosen one more angel to be by his side.

The wonderful photo of Jeanette brings back a lot of good memories of the time when Ken and Jeanette first met. We were all so young and carefree and had a lot of good times together with a great bunch of friends whose relationships have lasted till this day. I will always cherish these memories. Our hearts are with you today, even though Mother Nature is keeping us away. Both Don and I have loved Jeanette as a sister for all these years she has been our sister-in-law. My memories go back to childhood with Barbie dolls and playing for days with my twin sister, sometimes we fussed, but we continued on playing. I would be the one that got tired of it and Corky and Jeanette would just keep on playing. Jeanette's mother Orhea holds a dear place in my heart, I could talk to her about anything. Julie I hope you can get through this trying time, it will be hectic. God Bless all of you. I am thinking of you.

I was Jeanette's secretary at ASB in 1981 when my son was 3 months old. My mother Verda Lee Young also worked across the street from the Vocational Building at the same time. Jeanette was a joy to work with and had a great sense of humor. I will miss her sweet smile. Rest in Peace Jeanette. Prayers to your family.

Dear Julie,

My memories of your sister are those of a kind, sweet, energetic young girl. Even though I have not seen her in many years, I am so sad today.
