Obituary Notice

Joanne Kastel, 84, of Little Rock went to meet the Lord Friday, October 8, 2004. She was born February 4, 1920, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Michael and Domicella Dansevicius Stulga. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kastel. 

Joanne was an avid golfer in her younger years. She spent her retired years traveling the world, shopping for bargains, and enjoying the company of friends and family. Holidays were always a favorite time for Joanne. She enjoyed nothing more than having all of her family gathered together, sharing stories and making memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by one son, Bruce Kastel of Little Rock; one daughter, Debbie Gudith and her husband Roger of Little Rock; and four grandchildren, Renee Allen, Jaime Mitchell Hill, Candice Kastel and Tate Mitchell. 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the church. Monsignor Francis Malone will say the mass. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave., Little Rock, 72203 or to Baptist Hospice, 11900 Col. Glenn Rd., Little Rock, 72210.
