Alberta Potter BrennenObituary NoticeAlberta Potter Brennen, age 93, died at home in Little Rock, Arkansas, April 10, 2004. Two daughters, Margaret Klein of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Elizabeth Danley of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Mercedes Bostwick of Enfield, New Hampshire; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren, survive her. Her husband of 64 years, Frederick R. Brennen, preceded her in death. She was born June 6, 1910 in Newport, Vermont. She graduated from Middlebury College in 1932 where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in her junior year. She was employed as a medical technologist by Boston Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts from 1932 to 1939, Taylor Brown Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, New York from 1958 to 1961, and Geneva General Hospital, Geneva, New York from 1961 to 1975. Her organizations include her sorority, Phi Mu, American Association of University Women, the Girl Scouts of America, Fortnightly Club of Seneca Falls, New York, and Seneca Falls Historical Society. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Seneca Falls. She had a lifelong interest in science and medicine and in progressive politics. Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas. Services will be held in Lebannon, New Hampshire at a future date. Memorials may be made to the Mynderse Library, 47 Cayuga Street, Seneca Falls, New York 13148.
