Martha "Tiny" Bracy

Obituary Notice

Martha "Tiny" Brown Bracy - a very special lady left with her beloved angels early Tuesday morning after 70 years of being one herself. Her angel squadron was most assuredly led by her 6 year old son, Sam IV. He earned his wings many years ago and is one of God's most trusted. What a reunion. She loved her angels with a passion, both those here on earth and those on high.

Tiny loved her husband, Sam, her children, grandchildren, sisters and friends with the same passion. A beautiful smile, a contagious laugh and a quick wit were her endearing trademarks. They worked like magnets wherever she went.

Tiny majored in art in college, was an accomplished portrait artist and could have been anything or done anything she wanted to in this life. She chose to be a full time wife and mother. Her dedication and success at those careers are simple proof that most of the world's problems could be solved at home.

She was so proud of her daughter, Shawn, married to Kenny Clark and grandchildren Lindsey, Alli and Sam and of daughter Stephanie, married to Mark Wright and grandchildren Rachael and Ryan. Lindsey is a junior at UCA, Alli is a senior at Parkview and Sam is a freshman at Parkview. Rachael is a freshman at the U of A and Ryan is a sophomore at CAC.

Tiny especially treasured the memories of each grandchild experiencing the relentless majesty of the ocean for the first time during annual family vacations at Seaside, Florida. We know the grandchildren cherish these memories in the same way and will pass them on.

Tiny is survived by her loving husband and 7th grade boyfriend, Sam. They have been married 48 years and a more perfect union never existed. She is also survived by sisters Charlotte Copeland and husband Bill and Barbara "Midge" Rush and husband John. Also brothers-in-law, Dr. Calvin Bracy and wife Melinda and Dr. Lew Bracy and wife Carolyn. Another very large group lovingly called her "Aunt Tiny".

In addition to her son, Sam IV, she was predeceased by her parents Max and Martha Gladden Brown and a brother, Max T. Brown.

Tiny had a deep and very private faith. She loved her Second Presbyterian Church, her pastors and especially the "girls" in her pastoral care committee.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ruebel Funeral Home with a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. There will be a family graveside service at Roselawn followed by a memorial service at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the pastoral care committee at Second Presbyterian Church or Baptist Health CARTI.
