Sandra Flener Boren
Obituary Notice
Sandra Flener Boren, age 64 of Little Rock, died Tuesday, May
4, 2004. She was born on March 3, 1940 in Energy, Illinois to Ed and Pauline
Flener. She was a graduate of Barnes School of Nursing, but will be remembered
most for her over 15 years working as a real estate agent and broker in Fort
Smith, Arkansas. "Mimi" as known by her grandchildren, was a devoted
mother and grandmother who, without question, most enjoyed spending time with
her family.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, M.G.
"Chick" Boren along with two daughters, Kelly Boren Hogan and husband
Bill of Ruston, Louisiana, Kim Boren Moody and husband Jay of Little Rock; four
grandchildren, Taylor Christine and Natalie Claire Hogan, and Madison Elise and
Hannah Neal Moody.
There will be a funeral service Thursday, May 6, at 2:00
p.m., at St. James United Methodist Church, Little Rock, officiated by Reverend
Guy Whitney. Burial will be Friday, May 7, at 12:00 noon at East Lawn Memorial
Garden outside of Herrin, Illinois.
Memorials in lieu of flowers should be made to St. James
United Methodist Church or a church of ones choice.

was liked by everyone in Fort Smith and she will be missed very much. She
loved her family and talked about her girls all the time. She was a real

- Sandy what a dear friend who will be missed by all. Devoting many years to
real estate in Fort Smith, she helped set the mold for a great REALTOR. She
loved talking about her children Kim and Kelly and her wonderful four
granddaughters. She loved working with Ruth Whitaker in Little Rock
legislature as her aid. What a sad loss for her family, but what a wonderful
way to go peacefully in her sleep.
