Stella L. Hood

Obituary Notice

Stella L. Hood, 87 of Little Rock passed away Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2003) at her home. She was born July 7, 1916, in Jackson, MS to the late George Washington Gardner and Alma Ethel Buntyn Gardner. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. (Bill) Hood. Mrs. Hood was a graduate of Cotton Plant High School and Draughan School of Business. She was president of Hood and Company Real Estate. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church of over 60 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Vernich; one sister, Jewell B. Carlock; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday (Nov. 28, 2003) at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home.
