Robert Mills Feild
Obituary NoticeRobert Mills Feild, of Little Rock, died Monday, November 4, 2002, at Arkansas Hospice, St. Vincent Doctor's Hospital of alzheimers and prostate cancer. He was born on January 17, 1921 in Little Rock to Russell Hunter and Mary Mills Feild. He graduated from Little Rock High School in 1938 and Little Rock Junior College in 1940. He served with the U.S. Army, Military Army Transport during World War II. He later received his Juris Doctrate from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1949. A long time member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, he grew up in First United Methodist Church, Little Rock. He was retired from Saint Paul Insurance Company and the State Department of Education, Division of School Insurance. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Irene Edwards Feild and grandchildren; Daniel Robert and Hannah Christina Feild and their parents Dr. Charles Robert and Christina Docherty Feild, Stuart Mills, Mary Kathleen, and Helen Elizabeth Feild and their parents David F. Feild and Lee Williams Feild, Rebecca Feild, John Hunter, and Brandon Edwards Camp and their parents Jean Elizabeth and Dwight Edward Camp. He was predeceased by his brother Russell H. Feild, Jr., and is also survived by a niece Reverend Nancy A. Feild and her mother Mrs. Russell H. Feild, Jr. of Metairie, Louisiana. The family would like to give their loving thanks to the staff of Arkansas Hospice Home Care, Doctor's Hospital unit, staff and C.A.R.T.I. of the University of Arkansas Medical Science Center. A memorial service of celebration will be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. at St. Paul United Methodist Church officiated by Reverend John Fleming. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to a favorite charity. |
