Robert Henry Anthony

Robert Henry Anthony

Robert Henry Anthony met his Savior and ended all pain on October 25, 2017. His strong faith in Christ carried him through all of his physical challenges. He was born in Camden, Arkansas, August 11, 1942 to his parents Lucille and Howard Anthony.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister Georgia Laster and son, Robert Daniel (Ro) Anthony.

Robert is survived by his wife of 21 years, Melissa Anthony, sister Susan Rice, daughter Allison Caldarera (Keith), granddaughters; Josie and Abby Caldarera, and grandson Cody Kendall of Little Rock. His blended family includes Tara Garner (Jon), Case Jordan (Corina), Evie Inboden (Corey), and his grand-buddy ”Buck” Tully Jordan and granddaughter Juliana Miller. Robert is also survived by beloved nieces and nephew; Hollie, Heather, Jennifer and Howard, beloved pets; Duke, Caddo, Buggar, Shadow, Migo, Molly, Boo, Scout and his feathery chicken coop friends.

After graduating high school in Fordyce, he attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado and later graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in accounting. While in Fayetteville he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity where he met his lifelong friend, Gary Looney. The brotherhood with Gary was cherished by Robert.

Robert’s love of the outdoors was shown in his travels to snow ski and fly fish. He accepted each adventure as a challenge to be a master of his trade. This love was shared by Melissa and all of his kids. When not traveling, he pursued his golf game with his buddies at Pleasant Valley Country Club.

Robert’s professional career as a CPA lasted over 40 years. His earlier partnership started with KPMG and he completed his retirement with Brown Rogers & Co. He had a deep love for his clients and cherished the friendships that lasted from his service.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Fellowship Bible Church. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Looney, Keith Caldarera, Case Jordan, Jon Garner, and Corey Inboden

Robert demonstrated a compassionate love for children and animals, therefore in lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Pulaski County Humane Society or Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

"To Melissa and all Robert's family:
So sad to hear this news of Robert's passing. He had many friends, past as well as present, among which included his former Fordyce High classmates and schoolmates. I graduated with him back in 1960, and will always remember him as a caring and well liked friend.
He has now joined all those who preceded him in his forever home of Heaven. Among those, of course, is Mary
Jo Parham Sullivan, who dated him back in the 50's & 1960.
Robert, I am sure, is having a happy reunion with her, as well as all his family and friends who have gone on before him.
RIP my friend, and my prayers are with your family during this time of sadness."

"Melissa and Allison

So sorry to hear of the death of friend and colleague Robert. I learned of his death from our son Scot in Seattle via a post by you, Allison, on Facebook. We have very fond memories Of our sons Scot & Bracey together with Allison and Ro growing up together in Foxcroft.

I was very proud to be the person to introduce Bob to Brown, Rogers & Co. He added his tax expertise to the practice and served as a valued partner throughout the remainder of his career.

God Bless

"I was greatly saddened by Bob's passing. I worked with him back in the 60's at KPMG, and he was not only a go-to person for accounting problems but a great colleague. His good humor and quiet helpfulness meant a lot to me as I began my professional career in Little Rock. Although geography and career paths subsequently took us apart, I have always had a warm place in my heart for Bob's friendship. "
