"I remember when I first moved to Arkansas from Georgia and was applying for my licensure. Other than my husband and his family/friends, I didn't know anyone. I remember speaking with Betty several times on the phone through ABESPA, and she graciously welcomed me to Arkansas. Each time I called, she remembered who I was and made small talk. It was very comforting to me, since I had left my friends and family and a complete stranger was taking the time to ask how I was doing. I always remembered her for that. I hope her family finds comfort in knowing how kind she was to others and made someone she didn't know feel welcomed. "

She was truly a shining example of what is good and kind in this world. My heartfelt and deepest sympathy to Betty's family and friends.
