Elizabeth "Betty" Cook Stegall

Obituary Notice

Elizabeth "Betty" Cook Stegall died Monday, February 21, 2005. Born December 17, 1923, in Little Rock, daughter of James N. and Esther Cook.

She was a loving mother and wife and is survived by her husband of 54 years, Carroll Stegall, a son, Bob Stegall of Dallas, Tex., daughter, Barbara Nowlin of Little Rock, granddaughter, Anne David of Denver, Col., grandson, Chas Williamson of Dallas, Tex., one great-grandchild, Jack David of Denver, Col., and a sister, Jane Walton of Little Rock.

She attended the University of Arkansas where she pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma and also Little Rock Junior College. She was a past president of the Delphi Club and the River Ridge Garden Club; and she belonged to Pleasant Valley Country Club where she was an avid tennis player. She belonged to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn, Little Rock, AR 72205 or Arkansas Hospice, 5600 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, AR 72204.

There will be a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ruebel Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Burial will be private. www.ruebelfuneralhome.com
