Obituary Notice

Harry Chesney Haney, age 83, of Little Rock died on December 6, 2005. He was born on April 25, 1922 in Little Rock to the late Jerry and Clara Jones Haney. He graduated from the University of Arkansas where he developed a lifelong devotion the Arkansas Razorbacks. He served as a flight instructor for the US Army Air Corps.he worked for the Social Security Administration for 32 years Mr. Haney enjoyed traveling, singing in the church choir, and sharing a good meal. After retirement, he was an active volunteer for many years with the Camden Public School System, and was once named Volunteer of the Year by the Arkansas Times . He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and formally a member of The First United Methodist Church in Camden, AR.

Mr. Haney is survived by his wife of 60 years, LaNell Blundell Haney; his three daughters, Linda Muldrow and husband Lee of Little Rock, Leesa Renshaw and husband Don of Little Rock, and Jerri Gillespie and husband Kevin of Bentonville. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Brian and Kelly Muldrow, Price Shankle, and Aubrey, Grant, and Brittany Gillespie.

Mr. Haney enriched the lives of his family and friends with his quick wit, great sense of humor, andhis loving spirit. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home on Friday at 1:00 PM with Rev. David Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
