Obituary Notice

Elizabeth Charlene Denson McGregor, of Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2004. She was born in Fountain Hill, Arkansas on May 25, 1918, a daughter of the late Henry and Bessie Anna Deal Denson. 

She was a resident of Little Rock since 1946, a fifty-year member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Mrs. McGregor worked for the American General Life Insurance Company and retired from their Memphis office in 1969. She was preceded in death by a brother, Will Hoyt Denson, and a sister, Rowena Denson. 

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, William "Bill" McGregor; a niece, Altha Finefield and husband Mickey and their daughter Kathy, of Cordova, Tennessee; a great nephew, Dennis Denson and wife Molly of Romance, Arkansas; two great-great nephews, Junior and Wesley; and five great-great-great nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2004 in the Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rex Horne officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Flat Creek Cemetery in Fountain Hill, Arkansas. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  

The family wishes to express their gratitude to all those at Presbyterian Village who gave so much love, care, and, especially patience while she was in their care. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, Presbyterian Village, or to the charity or organization of donor's choice.
