Eloise Bailey McCombs
Eloise Bailey McCombs was born in Whipple Barracks, Arizona, on August 4,1923, and passed away in Dallas, Texas, on January 17, 2004. She was the daughter of Dr. Frank J. Dailey and Eloise Backus Bailey. She attended public schools in Little Rock, Arkansas, and graduated with honors from Hendrix College in 1945, She married William F. McCombs on December 21, 1946. They lived in St. Louis and St, Charles, Missouri, Crossett, Arkansas, and for forty-seven years in Dallas, where William worked as an aerospace structural design engineer. Other then family, her main interests and efforts were with bar church and with charitable activities.
She is survived by her husband, William McCombs; two children, David L. McCombs of Waco, Texas and Susan M. Creamer of Grand Prairie, Texas, four grandchildren, Jesse and Joshua McCombs, & William and Christopher Creamer; one great-grandchild, Justin McCombs; and her sister Anne Bailey Morgan of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Funeral services are 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2004, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 W. 17th Street, Little Rock, with the Very Reverend Henry L. Hudson officiating. Visitation with the family begins prior to the service, at 12:00 noon, at the church. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Local arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, Texas.
