Frances Reaves Hornibrook

 

Obituary Notice

Frances Reaves Hornibrook, age 87, of Little Rock, died Saturday, January 10, 2004. She was born in Portageville, Missouri. While visiting friends in Little Rock she met James Edward Hornibrook and they were married in 1938. Mr. Hornibrook died in 1998. She was a member of Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church, a member of the Pine Area Garden Club and did extensive volunteer work with the American Red Cross during World War II. She also enjoyed being with family and friends, playing golf at Riverdale Country Club and spending time at Lake Hamilton with her children. Later in life she loved being with her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Frances is survived by two sons, James R. Hornibrook of Little Rock, Peter H. Hornibrook and wife Judy of Little Rock, one daughter Haven Waters and husband Bill of Little Rock, 10 grandchildren: Jimmy, Michael, Reaves and Peter Hornibrook, Lisa Miller, Kimberly Minear, Holly Krepps, Ashley Martin, Leigh Ann Camp, Erin Brady, and 13 great-grandchildren.

There will be a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Ruebel Funeral Home followed Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church officiated by Monsignor David LeSieur. Services are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home. 

Memorials in lieu of flowers should be made to the Monsignor Allen Trust and Development fund or a charity of choice.

  • Pete and Judy - I have stayed in constant touch with Peter and Holly since Saturday and all of you have been in my heart and prayers. I hope that you will find some sense of peace in all that is taking place this week. Unable to come for services but will be sending a memorial in Peggy's name to Holy Souls.
