Obituary Notice

Lorraine Goolsby, 94, of Little Rock died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004. She was born Sept. 1, 1909 in Sheridan to the late John Henry and Nettie Rushing Bradley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Goolsby; son, Edward Carl Goolsby; three sisters, Lillian Mathews, Mildred Walker and Lois Bradley; and two brothers, Herschel Bradley and Bud Bradley.

After raising her children, Mrs. Goolsby returned to school and eventually received her Master's degree. She was a first grade teacher in Pine Bluff for 19 years. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Majors and husband Weaver of Little Rock, and Rheta DeVries of Waterloo, Iowa; one grandson, Lee Majors and wife Paige of Little Rock; one granddaughter, Leanne Franzetti and husband Chris of Little Rock; and six great grandchildren, Michael, Warren, Maria and Olivia Franzetti, Mary Carol and Meredith Majors.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2004 at Little Rock's First Baptist Church under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home with burial in Sheridan Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grant County Museum or Little Rock's First Baptist Church.
