Obituary Notice

Howard Lionel Bishop, 67, of Little Rock, died October 11, 2004. He was born July 12, 1937 in Bigelow, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents Mada and Lionel Bishop.

Howard lived a life of courage and dignity as he battled his lifelong disability of Cerebral Palsy. He was a Christian and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends at the United Cerebral Palsy Adult Center.

In addition to his parents Mr. Bishop is preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Jane Bishop. He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Holmes and her husband Tom Holmes. He is also survived by his three nephews; Wes Holmes and his wife Madelyn and their children Allie, Thomas and Layne all of Dallas, Texas, Boyce Holmes and his wife Robin, and Taylor Holmes all of Little Rock. Howard is also survived by his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Mark DeYmaz and Dr. Harry Li. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Adult Center, 10400 West 36th, Little Rock, Ar. 72204, or to the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas, 6420 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204.
