John J. Baldwin

 

Obituary Notice

John J. Baldwin, 84, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004. He was born November 13, 1919, in Albion, MI, to the late Joseph A. and Irene McCall Baldwin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Howard Baldwin, and one granddaughter, Randi Ann Adney.

Mr. Baldwin served his country in World War II and was a captain in the Army Air Force. He received a master's degree in forestry and was retired from Hartzells Industries. He was a member of Sigma Nu. He loved to play golf and he kept his mind sharp by working crossword puzzles.

He was a devoted husband is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy Baldwin; four daughters, Dr. Jeanne Murphy of Little Rock, Jan Adney and her husband Randy of Benton, Jo-Jo Baldwin of Little Rock, and Jane Baldwin of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Natalie and Hannah Murphy; one sister, Maryanna Baldwin of Dearborn, MI; and his beloved dog, Margie B.

Private memorial services were held with Rev. Victor Green officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to the Randi Ann Adney Memorial Scholarship, Malvern National Bank, or charity of the donors choice.
