Obituary Notice

Mildred Hortense Higgins Scull, age 89, of Little Rock, died, Tuesday, November 11, 2003. She was born in Arkansas City, Kansas, the daughter of the late Clyde Ellsworth and Lottie Popplewell Higgins Street. Mildred was a graduate of Little Rock High School and attended Kansas University in Lawrence, Kansas where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She was married to Miles Scull, Jr. who died in 1965. She and Miles live in Alexandria, Virginia for several years raising one son Miles, III. After retiring in 1985 from her position as a financial secretary for an anesthesiologist she moved to Little Rock. While in Little Rock she was active in her church, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, the Arkansas Arts Center, and The Territorial Restoration. The family wishes to thank the staff of Arkansas Hospice for their love and care. 

She is survived by her son Miles Scull, III and wife Melody and their two children; Kristin Ann and Miles Liam Scull all of Tempe, Arizona, and one sister Helen Higgins Wittenberg of Little Rock.

There will be a memorial service for Mildred Thursday at 1:30pm, November 13, 2003 in the Pierce Chapel of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Burial of ashes will be performed at Arlington National Cemetery next to husband.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral or The Arkansas Territorial Restoration.
