Obituary Notice

Joan Mabel Dowling Page of Little Rock, the widow of William J. Page, Jr., born November 21, 1921 in Walsworth, England to Frederick William Ashe Dowling and Mabel Grace Porter Dowling, died April 27th at the age of 81.

Mrs. Page served in the Women's Air Force in England during World War II where she met and married her husband. She immigrated to the United States after the war and made her home in Newport and Little Rock, Arkansas for the next 60 years. In 1988 she retired from Arkansas Children's Hospital. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brother Ronald Dowling of Purrey Surrey, England, her daughter Susan Marie Wixon of Little Rock, her grandson Dennis Lee Brumett, Sr. of Dallas. TX, her granddaughters Susan Joan Walker and Tarita Elizabeth Marie Wixon both of Little Rock. Four great-grandsons, Dennis Lee Brumett, Jr. of Tennessee, Dallas William Brumett of Dallas, TX, Jeffrey Scott Walker, Jr. and Jacob Sterling Walker both of Little Rock and her great-granddaughter Seana Jewel Walker of Little Rock.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, May 5th at the Chapel of Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Rex Horne officiating. There will be a reception immediately at the church. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church building fund or Arkansas Childrens Hospital. Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home.
