Obituary Notice

 

Bettie L. Black Christeson, of Little Rock, died on Thursday, March 6, 2003. She was the widow of Dr. William Watkins Christeson who preceded her in death on June 4, 1993. Mrs. Christeson was a communicant member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for thirty years. Her memberships included The Little Rock DAR Centennial chapter, Past State President of the Arkansas Pioneers Association, founding member of the Old State House Museum Association where she served on the board of directors for eight years and a member of the Little Rock Departmental Club as well as being an active volunteer in several other organizations. She is survived by her children, Marcus E Black of Loveland, CO and Imelda N. Black of Austin, TX, her brother, John C. Lloyd, two sisters, Eleanor McCoy and Grace Bascope’. She is also survived by Dr. Christeson’s children, Michael Christeson, Diane Phillips, Carol Bulloch and family and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral by the Very Reverend Henry Hudson. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.The family will receive friend from 6-8 pm on Sunday evening at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will include Dr. Tom Roberts, Michael Christeson, Tyler Bulloch, Victor Bulloch III, Victor Bulloch IV, and Wesley Bulloch. Honorary pallbearers will be Hannah Christeson, and Cole Bulloch. In lieu of floral tributes, Mrs. Christeson asked that donations may be made to CARTI and/or Angels in the Attic. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home.
