Obituary Notice

Wilson Eugene Taylor, age 84, of Little Rock, died Saturday January 20, 2001. He was born in Harrison, Arkansas where he graduated from high school. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy serving as a Seabee during World War II in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. After the war he returned to attend college at Arkansas State Teacher's now the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, where he received his degree in education. He first taught school at Westside in Heber Springs later moving to White Hall, Arkansas where he taught industrial arts at White Hall High School. In 1951 he became manager for building services for the Little Rock School District, retiring in 1977. Mr. Taylor was very interested in his son's athletic endeavors, once coaching his Little League baseball team. He loved his family and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Myrtle Thornton Taylor of Little Rock, one son Randy Taylor and his wife Libby of Little Rock, one brother Kirby Taylor of Springfield, Missouri, one sister Mrs. Clyde Dewey of Harrison, Arkansas, and one granddaughter Ashley Taylor of Little Rock. 

There will be a graveside funeral service Tuesday at 1 P.M. at Roselawn Cemetery officiated by Reverned Gayle Bone.
