Obituary Notice

Margaret Bobo Singer, age 81 of Little Rock died Tuesday, August 14, 2001. She was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas graduating Valedictorian from Watson Chapel High School. She was also a graduate of Judkins Business College in Pine Bluff. Even though she contracted polio at the age of 5 Margaret became an inspiration to those around her not allowing her disability to deter her desire to work and enjoy life. In 1941 she moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked for the Federal Government returning in 1943 to Pine Bluff where she worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Margaret was married in 1949 to Luther Eugene Singer moving to Aurora, Illinois until retirement when they relocated to Fairfield Bay in 1977. Luther died in 1990. A lifelong Methodist and at the time of her death a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Little Rock.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Singer of Conway, the wife of Margaret's son Lewis David Singer, who died in 2000, her sister Anne Bobo Vinson of Little Rock, 4 grandchildren, Ryan Joseph, Matthew David, Lindsay Anne and Andrew Paul Singer all of Conway. She is also predeceased by her other son Larry Eugene Singer who died at the age of 5. 

There will be a private graveside service Thursday at Olmstead Cemetery in Fairfield Bay, followed by a memorial service at 3 P.M. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church officiated by Reverend Don Nolley. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Following the service there will be a visitation with the family at the church. 

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Stained Glass Window Fund.
