Obituary Notice

Mrs. Rubye Eloise Adams Sams, 94, of Little Rock died May 17, 2001. She was born in Alma, AR, to C.M. and Caroline Adams on December 10, 1906. She graduated with a B.A. degree from Harding College in Searcy, AR. She taught elementary grades in Oklahoma and Arkansas and retired from the Little Rock school system. She was a long time member of the Sixth and Izard Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sisters, Norma Kilgore and her husband Dwight of Colorado; Ruth Ray and her husband George of Wisconsin; and a sister-in-law, Frances Adams of Batesville, AR; nephews Charles J. Ray of Colorado; Dwight Kilgore, Jr. and his wife Delitha of Idaho; Craig Kilgore and his wife Nancy of Washington; nieces Carolyn Ray of Ohio; and Sharon Rice and her husband John of Montana; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; a brother, Charles Adams; and a sister, Vivian Carolyn Adams.

A graveside service will be conducted by Mr. John Gipson, minister of Sixth and Izard Church of Christ, at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Memorials may be made to Sixth and Izard Church of Christ or Southern Christian Home at Morrilton.
